Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep

I learned the PASS acronym at one of my first jobs because I was working with ovens. I had access to a fire extinguisher, but since there was never – thank goodness – a fire, I never used it. If there was a fire and I needed to use an extinguisher to put it out, I knew what to do in theory, but would it be as easy as it sounded?

June is National Safety Month (I know, who picks these?) and my workplace had a bunch of activities scheduled. Yesterday was optional fire extinguisher training where, for the first time, I put out a real, live (controlled) fire with a fire extinguisher. It was pretty cool
